Established in 2014, andever is a registered architectural practice with the Architects Registration Board of Victoria and a member of ArchiTeam, Australian Institute of Architects and Association of Consulting Architects.

Sonia is a registered Architect with over 15 years local and international industry experience. Prior to co-founding Andever (formerly Atelier Red + Black), Sonia gained valuable experience from a diverse portfolio of projects in Singapore and Melbourne. She has worked across a vast spectrum of Architectural scales – from Urban Design, Masterplanning, Commercial, Multi-Residential and Single Residential as well as Furniture Design. Sonia’s strengths include an ability to intuitively translate client briefs into articulate architectural solutions enhanced by a keen desire to infuse key concepts throughout the design execution.
Alongside practice, Sonia is a Board Member for ArchiTeam Co-operative and Ausdance VIC, Sessional Staff and Guest Design Critic at the Melbourne School of Design (UniMelb), a Parlour contributor (Parlour.org.au) and a mentor with many industry Mentorship Programs. ,
Michael is a registered Architect with over 15 years industry experience. Prior to co founding Andever, Michael gained critical experience with boutique architectural practices in Melbourne, which enabled him to work on projects from sketch design through to construction. Michael’s strengths include an affinity for problem solving and a keen eye for detailing.
A member of the Australian Institute of Architects National Committee for Gender Equity (NCGE) 2014–17, Michael has been a mentor with the AIA’s Mentorship Program and a guest design critic for the School of Architecture at Deakin University and Monash University. He has written for a leading architecture website and has been a columnist for Fairfax media on built environment issues. Michael is currently a consulting architect for the Built Environment Channel.
